Public tracking format

One clean public tracking path.

Standard CND Ads links use one eight-character alphanumeric campaign code directly after the domain.

Campaign codes are generated by the platform and checked for uniqueness before use.

Transparent redirect

The visible next hop controls the redirect.

For a transparent request, CND Ads uses the canonical destination_url parameter as the immediate next hop. The optional control parameter force_transparent=true appears before the transparency parameter.

When transparent mode is active and destination_url passes validation, CND Ads returns a server-side temporary redirect to that exact URL. It does not replace the visible next hop with a destination stored in the backend and does not append foreign tracking parameters after rendering the visible next hop.

Google Ads template

Final URL stays in Google Ads.

A typical tracking template can be configured as follows. Google expands {lpurl} to the advertiser Final URL before the HTTP request reaches CND Ads.

CND Ads records supported attribution identifiers and ValueTrack metadata from the tracking request. Certification status is determined by Google; this page describes the platform's current technical behavior and does not claim certification.

Validation and abuse prevention

Transparent mode is intentionally fail-closed.

The transparent destination must use HTTPS.
Credentials and malformed or control-character URLs are rejected.
The destination host and effective port must match the campaign destination configured for that tracking code.
An unresolved literal macro such as {lpurl} received directly by the server is rejected rather than redirected.
If force_transparent=true is present without a valid destination_url, CND Ads returns an HTTP 400 response and does not silently fall back to a backend destination.
Successful tracking redirects are server-side HTTP 302 responses; CND Ads does not use JavaScript or meta-refresh hops for click routing.
